First Perlis ZUMBA® Party

Image
Yikes it was a event on the 17th and I am so overduuuuuuue! Theresa organized the first official ZUMBA® party in Perlis, more specifically, Kangar. Things were getting quite chaotic months and weeks before the show because of many issues and circumstances, involving human being and stuffs. I wasn't being helpful enough on selling the tickets, so I felt terribly helpless -_- Went back hometown few days before the show, and I couldn't join the ZUMBA® party in Alor Star (the first too). I was super jealous when all of them said the party was super fun!! The venue was at Putra Palace Hotel. On the day, we went early for the setup and whatnot. Us girls helped out at the registration counter, while Tessy went around, very busy! ..:Fast forward:.. Party started!! Tessy introduced the instructors of the day, all nine of them, on stage. Being a ZUMBA® party quite-frequent goer (self-claimed mind you~), some of the instructors and their step has become more or less familiar

Muhibah Cake House Promotion

Image
I wrote about the promotion in 2010 , and to my surprise, that post reaches 800++ views which is totally wow-zer!! Balik kampung on Tuesday night by bus for the car's road tax and some bank settlement thingy. 'Everyone' thought my dad came to fetch me (meaning I drive back) or something, which was kinda random and totally amusing LOL. 'ya know every time I come back home, there will be stories about Little One. Please wait patiently, there are tonnes of photos and stories to tell because she's grown, even though it's just a month I don't meet her! ^^ About the promotion thingy, I knew it through FB when a friend shared the promotion brochure picture, and I was delighted as the first promotion date was on the day I would be at home!! Yay!! Then I found the brochure on the 'phone charging section' when I got home, double *Yay*!! Shared the news with Da Jie, actually to persuade her and discuss which to buy. We sorted to the 'Yam Bl

Sungai Petani ZUMBA® Party + Expressway Accident

Image
Participated the first ever ZUMBA® Party in Sungai Petani, organized by the local instructor Lisher Kang. It was pretty much a last minute decision I made - the party was on Saturday and I only decided to go a day before. LOL. We departed from Perlis at around 12 noon. First stop at Alor Star Mall to buy dog food for Jack-Jack and a yogurt treat. The journey continued for another an hour and half, and we arrived at SP, a little late in time for our lunch at Chennai Curry House next to Village Mall, Tess' recommendation. The banana leaf rice indeed looks tempting and appetizing! (We didn't order the banana leaf set though) Nevertheless, the nasi beriyani lunch was awesomely yummeh! We had some stroll at Village Mall after lunch. I have to say, never judge a mall by its 'cover'. VM might seem big from the outside, but the inside, a little disappointing. We had some good time though, especially when there's music of our good old 'dance fitness' time, we

Ree's Skin Facial Experience

Image
Last November (or Dec I forgot), when I was waiting for Atun who withdrew her money at MayBank, I bumped into these two Malay gentlemen who promoting me a voucher of facial packages worth approx RM400++(?) which only costs RM30, RM10 per treatment. That sounds like an awesomely good deal right? So there and then, immediately both of us signed up for the promotion, which expires at end of March. One huge ass voucher I must say! The promotion voucher There is the promotion package vouchers, and other promotions such as discount and buy-one-free-one thingy. We booked an appointment on the evening. The location of Alor Star's branch is at PC Depot area, which is easier to find than I have expected! The facial treatment we signed up for is the R3 Pro Treatment. First, they have a consultant, Felicia, analyzing and discussing our skin issues. I was kinda phobia looking at those skin analysis pictures!! The truth unveiled that I have 'very' oily skin, but thanks to

Snoring Problem

I have a snoring problem that has been bugging me for quite some time. It's not as worse as I develop sleep apnea or the snoring is so loud I thought there's truck in my room, but the snoring itself kind of bugs me. My dad snores like a lorry, my sisters snore as well, and some of my friends who had shared a room with me before told me that I snore, sometimes it even wakes them up. I wasn't taking it so seriously until end of last year, I suddenly had this urge of 'confronting' the problem because I was worried it might bother the Significant Other and disturb the sleeping quality. The concern was so intense, I even felt like visiting the doctor for that. So, Nadiatun, my labmate, and I started a series of 'snoring test and analysis' and we were intrigued. She suggested some ideas, I thought of some methods myself and I executed the tests. How did I do that? I installed a voice recording app, tried out methods while recording. I did the recordings fo

周星驰 Steven Chow VS P.Ramlee

Steven Chow has been the all-time favorite comedian for those 80's babies, especially boys/guys. I have met some of them who is so into SC, they would, every now and then, bring in the SC gags into our daily conversation and discussion and stuff. I even have one guy who I befriended end of last year, told me that I simply say one sentence of the SC dialog, and he would tell me what movie was that and when/where/who/how/why the dialog strikes! Yeah right genius~ Why don't you tell me the timestamps too~ CK's explanation is reasonable. Back in those 80-90's days, we didn't have as much 'indoor activities' as the current generation; there were game consoles but not every family could afford it (my house never had one coz cousin brother had it and mom told us to just play theirs); What's more on the national TV besides the retro Chinese movies that had been repeated for like a thousand times... and that time, my friend, was the era of SC etc... I'm

Frankenweenie - Pet Owner's Thought

Since someone said that the movie reviews I wrote are 'kind of' keeping them away from reading, so I shall write more about my own perspective lah~ Watched "Frankenweenie" the other day. The movie itself is OK, I would NOT say it is children-friendly as it is toooo Tim-Burton-ish dark (I'm a big fan), be it the story line or some of the characters, especially that Weird Girl with her cat Mr. Whiskers, the eyes.... *shivers* Anyway, even though the ratings in IMDb isn't really high, with all the comments about how sloppy Tim Burton's work is on this, the commentators can't feel anything about the pet-owner part, can they? While watching the movie, it reminds me a lot of the dogs at Grandma's kampung house. My paternal grandparents own one of those high rise wooden kampung house in the middle of the orchard, where we often spent our weekend(s) there throughout my childhood and puberty, until after grandma 'moves out'. In order
