Zumba October La Fiesta

Image
Two weeks after the 'tremendous' Zumba Party , we were in Penang again last weekend for another Zumba Fitness party - October La Fiesta. It was at the Che Hoon Khor Moral Uplifting Society (德教会紫云阁). Since three of us didn't know the way (I am still a Penang Island noob) , we tried to ask around for directions, and since the address on the invitation card is in English, no one knew the place! We were out of the way until we entered the cemetery area (seriously), an angelic uncle guided us the correct way. The beginning of the event wasn't a good one, as they let us in very last minute, with separate lucky draw papers, very slow ticket-checking causing long lines outside the hall, and it was late! The event supposed to start at 2pm, but the slow process slowed it down, plus a dance demonstration made it slower to start... Ok enough rant, let's hear the fun part! Finally when the demonstration finished, Cassie from Australia came up to the stage and started movi...

Zumba Party 23 Sept 2012

Image
Last Sunday, I joined this Zumba Party held in Seberang Jaya, Penang, along with Theresa, L.Jynn and Ai Ling. The venue is at Safira Country Club*. It started at 9am and finished at 1pm. YUP it is 4 hours of dancing and moving ecstatically! *Funny and speechless thing is that, I always thought the venue is at an SMK, because I saw the word 'MK' at the address and never bother to read the whole thing LOL) I had a flu few days before, those itchy throats (luckily no severe cough) and running nose thingy. The sickness seemed to get worse on Saturday morning, with all the yellowish and thick nasal mucus, and both my left and right nose holes stuck, so I bought some meds at the Chinese pharmacy store. We departed from Perlis at 5pm, had a late dinner at Gurney's Chicago Rib House (good gracious nice food!!!! Multiple thumbs up!!) and overnight at Theresa's mom's apartment. Nice view! As the registration started at 8, we head out from Island as early as 6.45!!...

Cocozbelly Dance Night 2011

Image
After weeks and months of practicing and rehearsing and frustrating (not me), the night has come finally. The venue of the dinner was at Khoon Aik hall. It was a full house, about 30 tables overall. We headed there in the noon to have a final rehearsal, position arrangements and stuffs. All performance would be done on the floor, which means the same level as the seats, so we needed to adjust and readjust our position so that it won't seems too blank, too near, too far etc... Had my hairdo at an in-house saloon (which was a little overpriced since all she did was curling up my hair with some sprays) and makeup done by our dancemate Lee Ching. Luckily for us, our table was right next to the dance floor, so we could watch the show conveniently. Unfortunately, since the dinner's arrangements went haywire, we had to be prepared and standby most of the time. Anyway, fortunately for me, I had my usual appetite :) It's around 30 dances overall, including the solo dance b...
