Weekend in KL

Image
Went to KL few weekend ago for some personal business and family gathering, since everyone including the baby was in town too. Shir-B-Lyn went to KL to visit her grandma who is sick and stays with her aunt in Puchong. There's some miscommunication on our side, that resulted me drive from North-South Highway, exit through Kota Damansara, to Danau Kota Setapak through Sprint Highway, then went all the way to Puchong via Duke + Penchala + LDP later. Luckily the heavy traffic didn't cramp my clutch-pressing leg -_- Shir-B-Lyn is still as cute as a button, but she was quite cranky at the time, I bet it tore her grandma's heart apart when she cried so loud towards her grannie. Bad bad girl Dad tried to comfort her After a few while, she's back to the smiley phase, and we played roll over in the bedroom. Rolled! She can roll to the left but has trouble rolling to the right Her aunt treated us dinner at a restaurant in Puchong. Getting ready to go out!!

Zumba October La Fiesta

Image
Two weeks after the 'tremendous' Zumba Party , we were in Penang again last weekend for another Zumba Fitness party - October La Fiesta. It was at the Che Hoon Khor Moral Uplifting Society Since three of us didn't know the way (I am still a Penang Island noob) , we tried to ask around for directions, and since the address on the invitation card is in English, no one knew the place! We were out of the way until we entered the cemetery area (seriously), an angelic uncle guided us the correct way. The beginning of the event wasn't a good one, as they let us in very last minute, with separate lucky draw papers, very slow ticket-checking causing long lines outside the hall, and it was late! The event supposed to start at 2pm, but the slow process slowed it down, plus a dance demonstration made it slower to start... Ok enough rant, let's hear the fun part! Finally when the demonstration finished, Cassie from Australia came up to the stage and started movi

Women's stuff: Skin Care

Image
The idea of this post is based on a blog I read once, where she wrote about how many products used as part of her daily skincare routine. Besides hair, another proud achievement of mine would be my skin/face. Ever since puberty, my skin has never been in the tip top excellent (or even just good) condition for as long as I can remember. Mom, being the casual type, would advice me to wash my face with tap water ONLY and apply Hazeline ONLY. So she's not the best person to refer to. Now, miracle happens!! ^^ I love my skin so much, I can look at the mirror and smirk =) This is the skincare regime I have been sticking to for the past one year, and the result is superb! Day (from left): Hada Labo AHA/BHA cleanser, Hada Labo Moisturizing Lotion, Konjac Sponge, Paris Caroline Juvane Skin Defender, Biore UV Perfect Face Milk SPF50+ Night: Paris Caroline deep cleansing milk, HL AHA cleanser, P.C. 2in1 purifying cleanser, HL M.Lotion, DeCharme Lightening Purifying Essence,

Women's Stuff: Hair

Image
For the first 18 years of my life, I had been a short haired girl. Although my mom has four daughters, she isn't the 'groomer' type of mother, so we were not the 'victims' of putting on heavily laced dresses, braided hair etc. Plus, my primary and secondary school had this rules of 'no long hair' - hair must be above your collar, and bangs must be above your eyebrows! I've been short hair my entirely school time! Standard One, Standard Six, Form Three(?) My initial intention of keeping a long hair was quite simple and random. There was this one time during Form Two, I stayed after school for volleyball training, and when I was alone in the class, two of my classmates, Zafarul and Ying Lik (for those who know, understand my meaning of 'random'?) came into the class and said:"Woah HN you know what? I think you would look very pretty if you keep your hair long.", and that was it! I even tried doodling my picture just to see ho

For The Love Of Speed Trap

Recently there's hot news circulating around Facebook and word of mouth about the speed traps installation all around the country. Rumour has it the number of speed traps installed in Klang Valley alone is 200++!?? Duh~ In addition, rumour has it that the speed trap installation is to 'boost' the number of summons, to cover the financial holes 'they' have been digging all this while allegedly (a nice vocabulary learned from White Collar) ... So, in my long distance driving time, I have be nothing but a decent and rule-follower road user. The speed is within the limit, except some short distance of over speeding, especially the Sungai Dua-Juru road. Come on you have to back me up here... How can you stay 90km/h there right? LOL Along North-South Highway, I kept it 100-110, and since there was heavy rains along the way, speeding is dangerous! Still, I hate the 'brakers' - those who drive at 100-120 and brakes at every slight curves. I mean, just release

+1 Celebration: 4th Oct 2012

*Happy Birthday to myself* Yeepie yay yay!!! ... ...duh... Years gone by, and birthday is not as excited as it used to be already, especially there's something happened recently (birthday celebration issue, very minor stuff, but sounds kinda speechless stupid and doesn't make sense) . Early in the morning - OK not that early, 9 something? - I 'forced' my two furbrats to wish me a happy birthday. 'We wish you... a Happy Birthday...' *terrified tone* Had a birthday lunch with SJ and WW at Secret Recipe. Tried the pan-grilled dory with lobster sauce for the first time, and it was nice! Pan-grilled dory As I was freaking full, so cake was a take-away. The staff introduced me the newly available Turkish Indulgence. The appearance is nice, and the taste is better! Not too sweet, creamy, the lower layer of chocolate is embedded with pistachios, marshmallows and soft Turkish candy. I forgot to take the picture of the whole slice

Hi New Bye Old: Xperia S(exy)

Bought a Sony Xperia S with an online trader, GneX , after a prolong consideration, research, surveys, and financial re-adjustment. Purchasing something worth RM1k++ freaks me out and makes me paranoid! Finally got my hands on the phone last Saturday, seller was very cautious in packing the item because I had troubles opening it! :) I excitedly tearing up the package while Ah Loong looked over It's my first Android phone, and I get so nervous and excited at the same time. Almost 5 days of using it, stressing it all out (play with all the 'offline' apps at home, play with all the 'online' apps at work via WiFi) , I must say, I finally understand what do they mean by "when you start using a smartphone, you have to expect a battery charge at the end of every day" . I don't actually know what to show about the performance, but I can at least show ... pictures? Who else can there be when I need models for my phone?? My two furry cowards of course
